West Delray Veterinary, founded in 2020 by Dr. Jonathan S. Block, is a general, integrative small animal practice located in Delray Beach, Florida. It is well-known for its unique integrative approach to veterinary medicine, combining advanced medical and surgical care with complementary therapies including physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional support.

Dr. Block is deeply passionate about delivering exceptional veterinary care to patients, providing excellent customer service to clients, and fostering a nurturing and fulfilling workplace culture for the team. Inspired by the culture and mission of West Delray Veterinary, Dr. Block expanded this vision by opening Mindful Veterinary Care in Lake Worth, Florida, in March 2023 to further expand his desire to offer integrative veterinary care to the greater South Florida community.
The unique model at West Delray Veterinary combines an AAHA-accredited, integrative, general small animal practice that includes a comprehensive physical rehabilitation referral service for the surrounding veterinary community of general practitioners and specialists. The facility includes a dedicated therapeutic exercise space and a hydrotherapy room.
West Delray Veterinary exemplifies the AARV model practice standards through their commitment of delivering rehabilitative care. The practice integrates several rehabilitation modalities including: therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, manual therapy, laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, PEMF, thermotherapy, electrotherapy, custom orthotic/prosthetics, regenerative medicine, and pain management into personalized physical rehabilitation programs. Each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to meet their unique needs, whether they are recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, improving mobility, or working on fitness and conditioning.
Under the direction of Dr. Block, the rehabilitation team includes a team of six rehabilitation trained DVMs and three certified and rehab trained technicians. The rehabilitation service is managed by APRVT Board member, Deana Cappucci, LVT, CCRVN, CCMT, VTS (Physical Rehabilitation). Deana's passion and commitment to canine rehabilitation and pain management brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the operation, offering clients and staff the opportunity to provide optimal health for our patients.
