Board of Directors Position Descriptions
AARV is currently seeking nominations for the position of Technician Liaison. A brief description of this position is provided below.

Technician Liaison
The Technician Liaison shall be an AARV member in good standing from the United States or Canada. Only those members certified in rehabilitation or boarded specialists (Veterinary Technician Specialists of the APRVT) are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
The Technician Liaison shall serve a three-year term beginning in January 2025.
Purpose: To represent veterinary technician specialists (VTS), credentialed veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants with a membership of the AARV.
General Roles:
- Bring technician and assistant-specific input/needs/concerns to the Board and participate in discussions.
- Encourage and increase technician and assistant membership and participation in the AARV.
- Attend and participate in monthly AARV Board of Directors meetings as well as the annual meeting.
- Represent the veterinary technician and assistant membership of the AARV through appearances at meetings, CE, and lectures.
